Bespoke Blacksmiths, True, pure forgework specilists

Ken Fanner, the Master Blacksmith at Bespoke Blacksmiths has been creating general and decorative Forgework in the family business since 1984, and produces fine, traditional and contemporary ironwork (both interior and exterior) and courses in Forgework.

Ken’s father Bob Fanner started blacksmithing as an apprentice in 1938 at H. King & Son in Wimborne and opened his own workshop in 1981. Ken joined his dad as his apprentice and after his dad’s retirement he opened his own forge continuing the family business “Bespoke Blacksmiths”. Ken, as his father did, supplies local and district councils, trades, and privates individuals with a high quality of ironwork.

Bespoke Blacksmiths can create unique pieces of Forgework such as gates, railings, light fixtures, furniture, sculpture, tools, and much more. As skilled blacksmiths they can make sophisticated ironwork that looks good, demonstrates ingenuity, with a lasting appeal. We use both recycled and new steel for our commissions, such as sculptures that will be on display during Dorset Arts Week at our Forge.

As an extension to life as a professional blacksmith, Ken also provides a range of training courses for those who simply wish to experience the world of the blacksmith by producing their own hand crafted item.
