My work is the outcome of my love of walking and painting beautiful locations. The ancient Dorset landscapes and Jurassic coastline provide a rich and fascinating experience for understanding and interpretation. Walking this landscape takes me to new areas, opens new vistas, provides new challenges and challenges the imagination.

My recent painting results from consolidating many years of visual exploration. Space is of great importance to me and this is reflected in how I approach my work.
Many of my landscapes are portrayed from afar with a high distant horizon line conveying the illusion of space, grandeur, and history within a small-scale two –dimensional surface.
