I work mainly in homegrown hardwoods, creating form and texture by utilising naturally occurring ‘faults’ and degrade in the material, often in combination with sound timber to provide both visual and tactile interest.

Eccentric or offcentre turning features in most of my work. These methods enable me to explore feelings of movement and motion which are strong recurrent themes. Eccentric forms are designed to be unstable enabling them to wobble or roll when disturbed.
