Michael can often be seen working in the worst winter storms with his canvas firmly tied and weighted down. Regarding his work he says: “Purely representational landscapes may recall memories, but I want my images to go beyond that, enabling the viewer to feel rather than see – to experience rather than know – to stir the emotions rather than the intellect.”
