Painting

In the past I worked as a figurative artist, but today I choose to work mainly in abstract form on large canvas or board. I like to create powerful, abstract images that explore colour and depth, and I prefer to use oil paints I make myself using hand-ground pigments. I find inspiration in the natural world and the inner emotional landscape, but often a painting is simply an exploration and a progression of an idea.
