Painter in oils and acrylics

I did degrees in Geology (1965-71) which led to an international oil industry career. In the early 1980’s, part-time, I studied drawing & sculpture in Perth, Western Australia. Between 1995 and 2002, I completed the Open College of the Arts Painting Course Years 1-5 & their 1-year Understanding Western Art history course. I paint mainly seascapes, landscapes & abstracts using oils, acrylics & charcoal, mainly on medium-large canvasses. I particularly enjoy abstracting landform to reveal the underlying sculptural structure & movement, be it the rolling chalk downlands of Hampshire & Wiltshire or the mobile, erosional, edge of the Dorset coast.
