Dorset Art Weeks
A pioneer of open studio events in the South West, Dorset Art Weeks started in 1992 and has grown in size and success with each biennial event. DAW2008 had over 800 particpating artists at 340 venues. The next event will be held in 2010 from 29th May to 13th June and promises to be the best event yet. For the first time some schools will be taking part and there will also be a variety of other events across the county. We will keep you posted on this website.

The event is organised by Dorset Visual Arts Promotions Ltd, which aims to develop high profile events, publications and other opportunities for the county’s artists.

A Charitable Trust
Dorset Visual Arts is also a Charitable Trust whose aim is to celebrate and advance understanding of the visual and applied arts to a broader audience. It is managed by a group of Trustees with wide-ranging backgrounds and includes artists, makers, an architect, an arts officer and gallery owner. The Trustees support a small team of staff.
