The Art Fair is for the public, artists and students. It brings together many different art forms presented in a variety of ways and includes:

Come, join in and make this a stimulating and enjoyable day – maybe the best networking day for artists and those with an interest in the visual arts for many years. You can more than save the entrance fee on the discounted prices in the art shop!

Upwey Potters – Raku Firing
LAND ART WORKSHOP – inspired by the fantastic grounds that surround Kington Maurward House, join in the ‘land-art’ workshop led by artist Rachel Huggett
SEE – a ‘RAKU FIRING’ and STONE CARVING led by Bill Crumbleholme, Angelika Seik and Portland Sculpture Trust
INSIDE - Each roomhas a different character. As well as work for sale each includes either demonstrations, presentations or opportunities for discussion and information

Not stalls but white screens and plinths showing, design, photography, architecture, and sculpture.

FILM and ANIMATION – Whatmore Room
Projections include: Graduate animation films from the Arts University College, Bournemouth and filmmaker Robert Golden’s celebrated film about the internationally renowned Dorset furniture maker John Makepeace. More film up-dates coming soon. AUCB will also be giving a demonstration
Also on show will be a toolkit loaned by Aardman Animation – makers of Wallace and Grommet – this includes models and storyboards. Freelance Animator Lee Tetzner will present these exhibits and discuss his own work
ROOM SET – Library
Kingston Maurward’s oak panelled library becomes the setting for a presentation of special, individual works of art, design and furniture including – to date: John Makepeace, Petter Southall – Sladers Yard, Simon Thomas Pirie, Caroline Sharp, Karina Gill, Aline Johnson, Anne Hitchcock, Jenni Cadman, Carol Mattingley, Colin Gosden, Johanathan Garratt, Day Bowman, Fran Norton, Stephen Batty
ART SHOPS + Information – Entrance Hall
ArtWay of Corsham Court nr. Bath are installing a discount art materials and art bookshop in the entrance area.
Also; find out more about special visual arts projects taking place in Dorset. Notably: Big Picture’s Cultural Olympiad Project- Exploratory Laboratory and Poole’s Public and Community Arts Programme.
