I am drawn to detailed fragments of the landscape and am fascinated by patterns and textures of rocks, tree trunks, seaweed and seashells, rusting metal, peeling paint and weather-worn wood. In my printmaking I combine traditional methods of etching alongside less conventional methods where the acid can be poured splattered or dripped onto the plate and allowed to make its own marks. I also create collagraph plates using found materials and textured papers to produce tactile print surfaces. Other techniques include mono print and relief print.
I studied HNC and HND in Fine Art and Printmaking at The Arts Institute Bournemouth between 1998-2001
